Volunteer \ Vol'un*teer

 Meaning: 'One who enters into, or offers for, any service of their own free will'

The meaning above is the standard dictionary version but volunteers mean much more to the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance (TVACAA). 

Without volunteers TVACAA would not be able to attend as many fundraising events or raise the awareness needed to meet the financial requirements to operate the local Air Ambulance for Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire 365 days per year.

TVACAA needs your help to ensure the Air Ambulance can continue to provide a life saving service to your community.

Why use volunteers? ... Because they are a very valuable asset.

• A volunteer will know the area and be local to the event that they cover. This helps the Charity and keeps expenses to a minimum.
• Being local, a volunteer is able to spread the word about the work of the TVACAA and raise awareness for the Charity.
• By giving your time as a volunteer you show commitment to the people of your community.
• As a volunteer, you will be a valued member of a great organisation and part of a winning team.

Don't worry if you have never undertaken any voluntary work - you will be given full training and information.
